The Thousand Oaks Boulevard Utility Undergrounding project received a Project of the Year Award at the National Engineers Week 2018 Celebration Dinner for Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties held on February 23. “It was a wonderful experience to be able to work on the Thousand Oaks Boulevard project and see it come to a very successful end. A lot of time was spent in the planning, design and coordination phase of the project that paid off with a project that was completed on time and under budget. In my opinion two things made this possible. The first was the team effort on all sides including City staff, Edison employees and consultants. The second and most importantly was the leadership of the City’s Project Manager. Without the leadership of Nader Heydari the project would not have been as successful as it was.”
